Glenda Nichols, 72, Ringgold went home to be with the Lord Wednesday April 9, 2014. She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia area and was retired from Interstate Life Insurance Company. Glenda was a Member of the Boynton Baptist Church where she was a member of the J.O.Y. Sunday School Class and was part of the Joymakers. She had also been a Choir member and worked with the Youth. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Elsie Nichols and a brother Marshall Nichols and 2 nephews Gene and Bobby Nichols. Survivors are brother Randall ( Sherry) Nichols of Ringgold; sisters Barbara ( Jack ) Cooper of Ringgold; Sharon ( William ) Bomar of Ringgold and Gail ( Craig Clark of Varnell; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and one great nephew. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday in the Boynton Baptist Church with Dr. Keith McLeod and Rev. Jimmy Hutto officiating. Interment in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South. Memorial contributions may be made to Hearth Hospice 100 Mitchell Rd, Fort Oglethorpe, Ga 30742 or Boynton Baptist Church 4131 Boynton Dr. Ringgold Ga 30736. The family will receive friends from 11 AM – 1 PM, Saturday, at Boynton Baptist Church. There will not be visitation at the Funeral Home. Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway.
