Sonya Diane Mitchell

Sonya Diane Mitchell, 70, of Ringgold went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at her home. She was born on July 20, 1953 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late Ray H Kinney and Lela James Janow Kinney. She was saved by her Lord Jesus Christ at an early age and was a member of Charity Baptist Church. Sonya worked at Quick Sort for 20 years. She enjoyed growing flowers and spending time with her grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Ray (Pat) Kinney.

Survivors include her loving husband of 30 years, Don Mitchell; son, Alan (Rikki) King; daughter, Tonya (Casey) Kearney; brother, Randy (Kristi) Kinney; grandchildren, Loretta King, Abigail Kearney and Andy Kearney; along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 8th in the funeral home chapel with Pastor James Rushing officiating.

Interment will take place at Chattanooga National Cemetery on Tuesday, March 12th at 1:30 PM.
