Winfred "Wimp" Coffey

Winfred W. “Wimp” Coffey, 85, of Rossville went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, April 6, 2024. Wimp was born June 13, 1938 in Fort Payne, AL to the late Walter M. Coffey and Amy A. Cooper Coffey. He was a lifelong resident of the Fort Oglethorpe and Rossville, GA area and member of Bethany Baptist Church. He worked in the textile industry for over 40 years. Wimp enjoyed woodworking, gardening and reading. More than anything he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.

He is preceded in death by his son, Glenn Alan Coffey.

Survivors include his loving wife of 66 years, Carol Coffey; daughter, Jane Ellen (Richard) Nolan; sister, Martha Harris; 4 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11 AM, Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Chris O’Neal. Interment will be at Walnut Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
