Name: Christine Sampson Date: December 25th, 1926 - December 21st, 2009 Obituary: Christine Eaker Sampson, 83, of Ft. Oglethorpe passed away on Monday, December 21, 2009. A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia area, she was formerly employed as an accounting clerk with Hutcheson Medical Center. She was a member of the St. Gerards Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy L. Sampson, brother, Willard Eaker, and a great granddaughter, Madison Floyd. Survivors include: son, John Sampson, Ft Oglethorpe; daughters, Theresa Beck, Ringgold; Joan (Steve) Webb, Chattanooga; and Mary Ballew, Ft. Oglethorpe; brother, Edward E. Eaker, Chattanooga; sister, Martha Hardigree, Corpus Christi, TX; ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be held 10 AM Thursday, December 24, 2009 at St. Gerards Catholic Church with Father Liam Coyne officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
