Name: James Edwin Shaver Date: December 22nd, 1950 - January 5th, 2010 Obituary: James Edwin Shaver, 59, Marietta, Ga. , died Tuesday, January 5, 2010 in Atlanta, Georgia. Originally from Rossville, Mr. Shaver had lived many places while with the military. He was retired from the U. S. Air Force as a Staff Sergeant E-5. Mr. Shaver was proud of his country and served multiple tours of duty in Vietnam. He was very family oriented and lovingly known as “Eddie” by his family. Mr. Shaver was a member of the North Metro Church of Marietta, Ga. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Martin Shaver. Survivors are his wife, Bonnie Shaver; sons, James Ernest Shaver, Florence, South Carolina, Steven Thomas Shaver, Whiteville, North Carolina; step-daughter, Laura Shaver, Whiteville, North Carolina; father and step-mother, Leroy and Jo Ann Shaver; brother, John Mark Shaver, Chattanooga; sister, Mary Luanne Atkins, Tunnel Hill, Ga. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Pickard and Rev. Dave Boling officiating. Interment in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
