He volunteered with Casa Program in Idaho, where he lived prior to moving to Ringgold. Mr. Kirkella was a veteran of Vietnam serving in the U. S. Army. He was very interested in motorcycles and was very patriotic. Survivors are daughter, Andrea Heinz, Ringgold; granddaughter, Kayla Heinz; father, Nicholas Kirkella, Gainesville, Fla.; brother, Nicholas Kirkella Jr., Ocala, Fla.; sisters, Mary Sorbara, Newberry, Fla., Debbie Cannavale, Warwick, New York.
