Name: Merle A. Stewart Date: February 18th, 1922 - February 3rd, 2010 Obituary: Merle Stewart 87, Rossville, Ga died Wednesday, February 3, 2010 in a local hospital. He was a son of the late Harry H. and Matilda Mitchell Stewart. Mr. Stewart had lived through-out the world and was retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service. After his military career, Mr. Stewart served as an insurance agent with National Life and Accident Insurance Co. and was a member of the American Legion Blair Post 95 in East Ridge. Mr. Stewart was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Scott Stewart; sisters Virginia Stewart Eaker and Mildred Stewart Brown and a nephew Ronald Stewart. Survivors are nephew David Stewart Eaker Knoxville, TN; niece, Linda Brown Holland, Macon Ga; Step daughter Mary Ann Crowe, Alpharetta, Ga; sister-in-law Betty Templeton Stewart.
