The daughter of the late Carl and Grace Means McDowell, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Katherine Hale and Juanita Hale, and brother, C. J. McDowell. Survivors include her husband, James E. Porter; sons, Donnie (Kim) Porter, Randy Porter, Jimmy (Stacey) Porter; brother, Joe McDowell; all of Ringgold; sister, Dorothy Cobb, Ft. Oglethorpe; grandchildren, Nathan Porter, Jarred Porter, Allison Porter, Taylor Jackson, Amanda Jackson, Coulter Porter, and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be at 11 A.M.
