Mildred Louise Hixson, 84, Flintstone, died Tuesday, March 9, 2010, in a local hospital. She was a lifelong resident of North Georgia and a member of Flintstone Baptist Church. Mrs. Hixson was a volunteer for the Chattanooga Red Cross for 15 years and a volunteer worker for many people. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Esther Callahan; brothers, Charles and James C. “Bill” Callahan.
Survivors are husband, Thomas F. Hixson; sisters, Ruth Graham and Barbara Chandler, both of Ringgold; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Brent Smith and Rev. Dennis McNulty officiating. Interment in Burning Bush Cemetery.
