Name: Howard Hoover Young Date: December 8th, 1925 - March 13th, 2010 Obituary: Howard Young, 84, Red Bank died Saturday, March 13, 2010. He was a member of Spring Creek Rd. Baptist Church. Mr. Young led choirs in several local churches over the years. He was employed with Stamps Baxter Music Company for seventeen years and later retired from Bowman Transportation. The son of the late David and Virgie Young, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Carr Young and brother, Clifford Young. Survivors include his daughter, Joy (Guy) Kirby, Ringgold; son, Barry Young, Red Bank; Grandson, Gavin; sisters, Alma Abee, Hickory, NC, Beatrice (Amos) Lingerfelt, Icard, NC; brother, David (Paulette) Young, Hildebran, NC; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 11 A.M. Tuesday at Spring Creek Rd. Baptist Church with Rev. James Julian officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park.
