Name: Boots Evitt Date: February 18th, 1930 - July 9th, 2010 Obituary: Clarence “Boots” Evitt, 80, of East Ridge, passed away Friday, July 9, 2010 in a local hospital. Mr. Evitt was retired from Nations Hosiery Mill after 30 years of service. He was a master carpenter and was of the Baptist faith. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved fishing, hunting, woodworking, but mostly enjoyed spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Martha Evitt. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Mary Ruth Fletcher Evitt; daughters, Patricia Arnold (Mickey), Deborah Enos (Rick), Tina Sandidge, Tammy Bradford; brother, Charles Evitt; sister, Diane Eachus; 10 grandchildren, Karen, Kelli, Cookston, Angela, Shannon, Josh, Jason, Brandon, Meghan, Matthew; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Monday at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Albert Oliver officiating.
