He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga, North Georgia area and veteran of the US Army serving in the Korean Conflict. Joe was a member of Newnan Springs United Methodist Church serving as a Trustee, Honorary Usher, and member of the Friendship Sunday School Class. Joe was in the Carpenters District Council for 63 years, Harrison Masonic Lodge #114 F&AM, Chattanooga Central Chapter #74, and Millwrights Local #654 where he held every office including Business Agents. He is preceded in death by parents Jack and Lucille Henderson, sister, Peggy Bagwell, brothers, Jack and Walter Henderson, and grandson, Jeremy Henderson. Mr. Henderson is survived by his wife, Patsy Lasater Henderson, sons, Mike (Connie Henderson), Ooltewah, Barry Henderson, Ooltewah, Larry Henderson, New Smyrna Beach, FL, daughters, Cynthia (Randy) Richenberg, New Smyrna Beach, FL, Yvonne Ausbon, Ooltewah, step-daughters, Gina (Charlie) Erwin, Mary (Rick) Loggins, grandchildren, Nick Henderson, Joey Richenberg, step-grandsons, Nathan Erwin, Andrew (Amber) Erwin, great-grandchildren, Landon Henderson, Kailey Raymond, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2 pm, Tuesday, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Mike Lowery officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
