Name: Eileen Lucille Peace Locke Date: November 22nd, 1932 - July 14th, 2010 Obituary: Eileen Lucille Peace Locke, 77, of Ooltewah, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 14, 2010. She was born on November 22, 1932 to the late Charles W. Peace and Bertie H. Peace of Meigs, County, Tennessee and was one of eleven children. Eileen worked for many years as the director of Head Start in Chattanooga where she was very dedicated to the program. She always gave everything to help others and she loved those she worked with. Eileen was a faithful long time member of Christ United Methodist Church where she dedicated her life to the Lord. She was preceded in death by her brothers, William R. Peace, John W. Peace, Curtis E. Peace, Clarence O. Peace and her sisters, Eula P. Henley. Mary Maxine P. Burnham and Cossette P. Alonso. Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years, Donald W. Locke, daughter, Janice L. (Sid) Erwin, grandsons, Devan A. Erwin, Corey M. Erwin and Justin C. Erwin, brothers, Charles W. (Maxine) Peace, Jr., Duluth, GA; Dr. Rural A. (Nancy) Peace, Cookeville; sister, Joyce P. George, Kingsport, TN; sisters-in-law, Marie Gallaher, Decatur; Betty Randolph, Dayton; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many close friends. Services will be held at 1 P.M. Friday at Christ United Methodist Church with Rev. W. David Hall officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 P.M. in Decatur Cemetery, Meigs County, Tennessee with nephews serving as pallbearers. Mrs. Locke will be at the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be sent to Christ United Methodist Church, 8645 E. Brainerd Rd.
