Obituary:
Ruby Humble Davis, 96, of Chattanooga died Thursday, July 22, 2010 in a local health care facility. She was born and grew up in Valley Head, Alabama where she married David Humble, Sr. who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death is her second husband, Carl Davis;daughter, Jo Ann Morrison; daughter-in-law, Sandra Humble; sisters, Mary Crabtree, Laura Rhudy, Vera Crabtree and brothers, William Blackburn and Henry Blackburn. For many years Ruby and David made their home in Chattanooga and Greenville, Tennessee. She was a member of Valleybrook Presbyterian Church. She leaves behind to cherish her memory sons and daughters-in-law, David and Sue Humble, Ringgold, Larry and Faye Humble, Seymour, Tennessee , Thomas and Mary Humble, Greenville, Tennessee; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and a sister, Elizabeth “Boots” Mince, Ft. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Sunday, July 25, 2010 in the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronald Ragon officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Entombment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 2 – 4 PM and 6 – 8 P on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Heritage Funeral Home and Crematory, 3239 Battlefield Parkway, Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.
