Name: Henry Lee Howell Date: June 28th, 1922 - June 14th, 2012 Obituary: Henry Lee Howell, 89 of Apison, TN passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012 in a local Hospice Care Unit. Mr. Howell was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Howell, parents, John Claude and Hettie Davis Howell, sister, Ruth Howell, brothers, Claude and Ralph Howell. Mr. Howell played semi professional baseball in the 1940's and 1950's. He worked at the Chattanooga Bible Institute for 18 years and retired from Dupont after 31 years of service. He was a member of Brainerd Hills Baptist Church, was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran, and was an avid golfer. He is survived by his wife. Oglethorpe, GA, Cathy (Mike) Goodman, Cleveland, TN, Randy (Gina) Bell, Apison, TN; grandchildren, Austin Howell, Brandon Howell, Caitlyn Howell, Tanner Smith, Makenna Smith, Jonathan (Renee) Shattuck, Brandon (Babbs) Bell, John Michael (Erin) Goodman, Jessica Leanne Bell, Austin Goodman, Jaycee Bell; great-grandchildren, Chess Bell, Russell Bell, Olivia Starnes, Matthew Shattuck, Hyland Bell. Funeral servcies will be held at 2:30 PM Sunday at Brainerd Hills Baptist Church with Dr. Richard Mason officiating. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens East.
