Dr. McCallie was my Mother's doctor for many years and also took care of my Aunt Pearl. He was compassionate and caring.

To the family of Dr. David McCallie - "Some men leave their mark on the world by the way they live and the difference they make in the lives they touch". As you gather all your memories and wear them on your heart, may they warm you with laughter and fill you with more love for this wonderful man that made such a meaningful difference in the lives he touched. Dr. David was not only my physician but a trusted friend and counselor for more than 40 years. His presence and influence will be missed here on earth. Jesus welcomed him with arms wide open...."Well done good and faithful servant" !! Our prayers of comfort for the entire McCallie family. We are out of town but would so dearly love to be there to see and visit with especially Dr. Jack and Alice McCallie. Our dearest love to each of the family. What a blessing to have been associated with Dr. David McCallie!

Doctor David McCallie treated my father, mother, and myself as our family physician with skill and compassion for decades. I admired and respected him, and was honored to be both his patient and friend. Chattanooga has lost a giant of an honest and brilliant man, but he would chuckle if, as I wish, I still were able to tell him so. All of us are fortunate that his fine sons who share his many qualities are here to carry on. George Derryberry

Our loss is Heaven's gain- he and Maddin were a blessing to so many, and I know that you all are comforted by the fact that they are together again. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time.

Please accept my sincere condolences. I can only imagine your feeling at this time but do know the feelings of losing someone I loved. In time what brought me comfort are the words found at John 5:28,29. Perhaps you will be able to think of the times ahead that will allow us to be together with our loved ones on a paradise earth forever. Rev. 21:4 reminds us of this when tears, pain and death itself will be gone. May these thoughts in time help your family too.

My deepest sympathy to the McCallie clan. Do not mourn. David McCallie is now happy, healthy, healed and whole in heaven. He and Maddin were close to my
family and will long be remembered for their valuable and loving contributions to the First Presbyterian Church, local schools, hospitals and medical organizations, civic and charitable organizations plus hundreds of friends and family. Theirs was a Christian outreach. And it will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved each of

What a special man he was, I grew up watching Dr. McCallie taking care of my grandparents, Draper and Myrtine Doyal, and my parents, Joyce and F D Robertson. I witnessed, firsthand , the compassion and genuine care he exhibited towards them. He will be greatly missed. Angela Robertson Destin, Fl

We enjoyed Dr. McCallie as our personal physician for many, many years. We grew very fond of him during that time, and the wonderful care he gave us. We're sure Heaven is reverberating with laughter and shouts of 'whoopee' this day. Faye & Nat Taylor

I remember Dr David and the McCallie Medical group as a young teenager. My Mother worked for the group for several years and I remember Dr David gave me tickets to the Symphony. He was an extremely kind gentleman. What a legacy!!!! Jenny Hale (Hancher)

Dr Jack and family, What a wonderful legacy your father has left for you and all of your family. As a nurse, I always had high regard and respect for your father. I always remembered him to be very compassionate. So sorry for your loss but Heaven has gained a wonderful soul who will always be looking out for his family. Karen West
